What SEO actually involves
SEO is three jobs that have to happen in order. Fix the technical barriers stopping search engines from reading and trusting the site. Build pages that genuinely answer what people are searching for. Then earn the external signals that tell Google the site deserves to outrank the alternatives.
Skip the first step and the content never gets credit. Skip the second and there is nothing to rank. Most sites we audit are stuck on one of these two, not on links.
Our SEO scope
Technical SEO
- Crawl and index audit — what Google can reach, what it is ignoring, and why
- Core Web Vitals: LCP, CLS and INP measured on throttled mobile, not desktop fibre
- Site architecture, internal linking and canonical strategy
- Structured data so listings can qualify for rich results
- Fixing duplicate URLs, redirect chains and orphaned pages
Local SEO
- Google Business Profile setup, category selection and ongoing optimisation
- Consistent NAP (name, address, phone) across the site and every directory
- Location-specific landing pages with real local substance — not one template with the city name swapped, which Google treats as doorway pages
- Review generation strategy and response workflow
Content and authority
- Keyword and intent mapping: which page should own which query, and why
- Content briefs built from what currently ranks and what it fails to cover
- Topic clusters that establish depth instead of scattered one-off posts
- Digital PR and link acquisition from sources that pass real authority
How we report
Monthly, against the numbers that matter: rankings for your target queries, organic sessions, conversions from organic, and the technical health trend. You will also get the list of what we changed, so the work is auditable rather than a black box.
On timelines. Technical fixes can move things within weeks. Competitive commercial queries usually take three to six months of consistent work before the curve bends. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is either targeting queries nobody searches, or is about to do something that gets you penalised.
Who this suits
- Local service businesses that should be visible for "near me" and city-level queries
- Businesses that rebuilt or migrated a site and watched traffic fall
- E-commerce and B2B sites with pages that exist but never surface in search
- Anyone paying for ads on queries they could rank for organically
